If you live in the area of Rhode Island or Connecticut and are looking for a donation drive for those suffering from Hurricane Sandy, Dr. Kendra from Family Wellness Centre of Connecticut has organized a “Drivin’ to the Island” fill the truck event.
The donations will go directly to Staten Island this week, with Dr. Kendra leading the drive. I think this is a wonderful event. In times of suffering and absolute loss, what holds people together is hope. Hope that they are not forgotten. Hope that someone cares for them. Hope that tomorrow will be better. Hope that sorrow is fleeting.
There are many drives for donations in communities for those ultimately living with the destruction brought on by Sandy. It truly is wonderful to see humanity at its best.
