Eve of the New Year

New Year’s Eve is a night that is usually spent home. I honestly cannot remember the last time I spent a New Year’s Eve out on the town. I am a nervous Nelly with people on the roads driving and drinking. So, staying in with the kids watching a movie is what is in store for sending 2012 out the door.  2012 was a year of trying days, along with days of promise, gratefulness, and blessings. I learned a lot in these 365 days.

This year has been so incredibly painful for many. I think that many of the events that occurred in our state and nation have made such an impact on us all. We are forever changed, but for those families who face their futures broken hearted, I pray for their strength and peace.

So see ya’ 2012. Even though you weren’t stellar, I am still grateful to be alive and stronger than ever.
