Stairs

The next process in the new build was finding the stair style that I liked best. The first build was a more traditional look. The second house we built had iron incorporated. For this stair, I wanted to go simple, with some detail on the rail. Here are some inspirational photos that helped me go in the direction that was the final choice.

This one is my favorite. Simple yet with the perfect amount of extra details to make it stand out.

The stairs will be open from the second floor to the basement. So basically all rails and no walls. I like the idea of being on the second landing and seeing down through to the basement level.

The final cut was red oak, with a similar look to photo 2. The stairs will be in soon. Sheet rock is going up now and we are moving along at a steady rate.
