The house is progressing nicely. It is hard to remember how much gets done in a span of time, unless I look back at the sporadic pictures I have taken. The siding is almost finished and the walk ways and front porch are in the final stages.
Because of building in a flood zone, the house had to be built considerably higher. To mask this, retaining walls are surrounding the home. Stone walls and stucco walls, that will be painted white, are around the property.
I considered doing a stamped concrete for the walks, but ended up going with blue stone. I really like the clean lines and the zero maintenance of them.
The outside has been getting a lot of attention lately since the sheet rockers and tapers have been inside. Spraying the walls and putting in the stairs inside will be next week’s projects. It’s coming together rather quickly!
