My Dearest Finley,
There are no exact words to completely describe what an absolute love you are to me. You have brightened up our family’s world from the moment you were born.
Always dancing, whether it is in Irish dance class, or around the house, or from the car to school, there is always a hop to your step. You love to sing, or make up your own songs. You give hugs and kisses to us all.
You love to play with Barbies, and be a mom to your dolls. You love to eat ice cream and grilled cheese sandwiches. You love your school and sing about God and how he loves you. At night when we go to sleep, you say your prayers. They are not traditional prayers though. You talk about all your cousins and wish them toys and cookies. You talk about Piper and wish she always comes home with trophies. You wonder what Poppy is doing or Nana. You talk about the clouds and the stars. You just get it.
You have such an old soul. You often cup my cheeks with the palm of your hands and tell me I am your heart. You make me stop and really process that I have everything I ever need. I am beyond lucky to be able to spend my days with you. Watch you grow and learn new things. See how you process the world around you. I think I learn more from you, more than you learn from me.
I cannot wait to see all the things you learn to do in your fourth year. I wonder what new things you will say, how you will continue to be the special person that you are. Your smile brightens up everything in the room. I am thankful every single day for you. Now let’s celebrate!
